The focus of this blog is all about photography. Now I’m not a professional photographer what so ever but I do enjoy creating images that are pleasing to the eyes. Whenever I go on my adventures, I make it a point to somehow capture the moment by snapping quick shots – and I feel like I’m getting pretty good at it.
Full disclosure: I have taken photography classes and workshops – but that was with a DSLR. I also used to think that I can make a hobby out of taking pictures and enjoy it – boy was I wrong. There’s a lot more to just simply taking photos with your camera. There’s planning, budgeting (yes that a thing!), execution, post-production and deliveries. This was not an easy process and it takes a lot energy and patience. Things that was limited to me then.
At the time, I was still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I was in-between jobs, taking a couple of courses here and there – I was stuck. One time, I wanted to go on a trip but couldn’t because I was really broke and I was working two jobs so I didn’t really have the time. I also met with some high school friends for a quick catch up and everybody seem to be moving on with their lives. It was at this exact moment where I told myself that I needed to refocus my life. I found myself feeling limited due to lack of funds, time and energy. I had to drop my hobby and focus on getting into school, getting a decent job and getting paid. This was in 2010.
Fast forward to today – I’ve graduated with a diploma, I have a job for almost 4 years, i drive a jeep and finally have time for adventures.
Although I haven’t picked up a DSLR for my adventures, I have however, been using a phone called Google Pixel for my photography which does the same/even better job. Most of the photos I will post here will be taken from this smart phone.
