Thoughts on February

As I type this post, It is already March 10.

February has been quite eventful, and to think that the month just ended in a blink. There’s a saying out there: “Don’t blink or you’ll miss it” which implies that there’s is not enough time for rest – otherwise you’ll miss it. As for this February, that’s exactly what happened.

The beginning of February started pretty slow with me signing up for a kickboxing class. I thought that this was a pretty bold step toward self-care/improvement. I have never taken a class outside of educational requirements. I thought I needed an organized plan which involved a weekly routine. I was already immersed in another weekly activity which looks to heal my injury and needed to fill in the rest of the week with something else.

And opportunity presented itself through a Facebook ad – and the rest fell through as planned.

This routine continued meanwhile squeezing in skiing, snowboarding, hiking, trails, watching shows and a bit of partying. Suffice to say, I was successful in keeping myself busy. I never did feel bored. When I was tired from physical activities, I would force myself to go out and immerse myself to the city – something that will be missed come the working.

February may be the shortest month of the year, but it can be the most eventful.

At this point, I’m hoping I took advantage of all the time off I have. As this vacation closes to an end this March, I am to continue until I cant. March 26 is the dreaded day and I can’t wait for it to come.
